The San Francisco Peninsula is seeking a genuine, passionate, visionary leader to serve as the new CEO.
The San Francisco Peninsula is the region’s official convention and visitors’ bureau focused on attracting meetings, conventions, business, and individual travelers, thereby enhancing the economic growth of the area we serve.
The San Mateo County/Silicon Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau, doing business as The San Francisco Peninsula, is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit corporation chartered by the State of California and governed by an independent Board of Directors.
The Chief Executive Officer provides strategic leadership and executive direction for The San Francisco Peninsula (SFP). The CEO drives regional economic growth by overseeing destination marketing, group sales, community advocacy, and organizational operations. Acting as the primary ambassador for the region’s tourism industry, the CEO works closely with the Board of Directors, regional stakeholders, hotel partners, municipal leaders, and state tourism entities to enhance destination visibility, maximize room nights, and secure sustainable funding.
The CEO is hired by and reports directly to the Board of Directors and maintains complete authority over hiring, managing, and developing all SFP personnel. Salary Range: $270,000 – $300,000. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
