KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients to encourage repeat and referral business.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, research, and outreach strategies.
  • Conduct client meetings to assess needs and propose customized event solutions.
  • Oversee the group event planning process, ensuring seamless communication and execution with internal teams.
  • Stay informed about marketing programs, local market trends, and competitor offerings.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed group sales targets via creative strategies and strong account management.
  • Analyze sales data to recognize trends and identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, site visits, and industry events to enhance the property’s profile.
  • Ensure events are delivered on budget and align with revenue objectives.
  • Uphold high standards of customer service throughout the group event lifecycle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional experience in group sales or a related sales position within hospitality or events.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and effective negotiation skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a target-driven environment and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Creative, strategic, and detail-oriented approach to sales and event planning.
  • Commitment to understanding and exceeding client needs.
  • Experience collaborating across departments to achieve event success.
  • Proficiency in analyzing sales performance and contributing insights to strategy.
  • Willingness to actively engage in client solicitation activities, both on and off-property.
  • Dedication to personal and professional growth within the hospitality industry.
