Overview
McCormick Place is seeking a collaborative, adaptable, and mission-driven leader to serve as the next Senior Director of Space Optimization, playing a pivotal role in maximizing the performance, utilization, and economic impact of the convention facility. This position is responsible for strategically managing how event business is placed across the convention center to optimize the calendar, support citywide compression, drive revenue generation, and ensure efficient use of convention center space.
Working closely with internal leadership, the Senior Director of Space Optimization will oversee the strategy behind space allocation, event scheduling, and business placement to maximize economic impact for the City of Chicago and the State of Illinois, as well as the financial performance of the campus. This role requires a highly analytical and collaborative leader who can evaluate demand patterns, forecast future business opportunities, and implement strategies that strengthen McCormick Place’s competitive position within the global meetings and conventions marketplace.
