The Director of Sales & Marketing role oversees all revenue-generating activities, shaping innovative sales, marketing, advertising, and public relations strategies to exceed ambitious goals. This individual will inspire and guide a talented staff, encourage proactive business development, and foster strong relationships with industry partners and clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct all aspects of sales and marketing strategies to maximize overall revenue and profitability across all departments
- Actively solicit, prospect, and secure business, targeting both group and leisure market segments
- Develop, implement, and monitor annual sales and marketing plans, ensuring alignment with budget goals
- Lead, guide, and support sales and convention service teams to achieve high productivity and client satisfaction
- Collaborate closely with catering, revenue management, and other departments to maximize group and catering revenues
- Oversee competitive analysis to inform positioning and promotional strategies
- Cultivate relationships with key partners, industry influencers, and clientele
- Coordinate advertising, public relations, and integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and electronic channels
- Prepare detailed reports and forecasts, presenting performance to senior management and stakeholders
- Uphold luxury standards in guest and member experiences, fostering a proactive, empowered, and service-focused team culture
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years of Director-level sales and marketing experience in a luxury resort or club environment
- Proven expertise developing and executing profitable sales and marketing strategies
- Strong track record in prospecting, closing business, and directly managing key accounts
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams
- Experience collaborating with catering, revenue management, and culinary departments
- Proficiency in industry-standard sales and booking platforms such as Delphi and OPERA
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Analytical skills with a sound understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and yield management
- Valid driver’s license required; additional hospitality certifications are a plus
- Professional presence, adaptability, and commitment to upholding the highest standards of service and brand integrity
