The Senior Sales Manager will play a pivotal part in shaping and advancing the property’s group business strategy within the competitive Texas market. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively source, prospect, and secure new group business within designated Texas markets.
- Build and maintain enduring relationships with clients to foster repeat and referral business.
- Ensure revenue and budget targets are met through effective account management and fiscal discipline.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales and operations teams to deliver seamless group experiences.
- Utilize CRM systems to manage pipeline, generate reports, and track progress (Delphi preferred).
- Nurture assigned accounts with a focus on loyalty, satisfaction, and long-term growth.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop tailored proposals for clients.
- Host site tours and sales presentations to showcase property amenities and group offerings.
- Participate in industry events and tradeshows to promote the hotel and strengthen relationships.
- Contribute ideas to continuously enhance sales strategies and team performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2–3 years of group sales experience, preferably within luxury or upscale hospitality environments.
- Strong working knowledge of the Texas group travel and meetings market.
- Demonstrated history of achieving and exceeding sales targets in a competitive setting.
- Business development mindset with a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance culture.
- Proficiency in CRM systems and sales pipeline management (Delphi experience a plus).
- Self-motivated “hunter” with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Adaptable with a positive attitude and strong professional work ethic.
- This position is fully on-property, with one work-from-home day per week if monthly goals are met and requires a willingness to work on property.
